Warranty

CUSTOMER CARE

Here at Spectrum Bikes our business model, is one of a consumer-direct philosophy, with the notion of offering a high-caliber type bike for a reasonable price. Ebikes are expensive to ship, and we trim the markup to attain a reasonable retail price. In an effort to reduce warranty issues and provide the best product possible, each bike is inspected and quality control tested. This is why it is typical to have a bit of mileage on the odometer – .2 miles or so – right out of the box. In the unlikely event there is a defect with one of our name-brand components on the bike, please reach out to us. Most carry a manufacturer warranty and we will cover 30 days on these. Damage from use and abuse – does not count – defective does. The electrical system (controller-motor-display-battery) carries a 12-month warranty – from time of delivery – serviceable by the motor and battery manufacturers service centers: in the United States. The frame is manufactured by a reputable frame manufacturer and is guaranteed to be free of structural defects, in material and workmanship. Shipping for warrantied items is to be provided by the original owner, as indicated on the receipt for the ebike. Labor for removal and assembly, regarding the warrantied item, is the responsibility of the purchaser. This should be a consideration when purchasing one of our products, as some people may be better suited to purchase a bike from a local bike shop. There is no compensation for loss of use arising from a warranty issue. For safety and professionalism, we provide a calibrated torque wrench set, specs of such torque values for the bike, and it is the purchaser's discretion to perform the labor or have a bike shop perform labor, at the purchaser's expense. Fortunately, your mid-drive bike is largely akin to an analog bike, and many of the repairs are easily found online, we are here to offer assistance if need be. The shift cable has a break-in period of approximately 15-40 miles and will typically need some adjustment – this is not a warranty issue – it is a tuning issue and is the purchaser's responsibility. Our bikes have been well packaged, however, it has gone through the shipping companies, and in the event there is a minor cosmetic blemish/scratch, please reach out to us so we can reach a reasonable conclusion.
